Overview

Data Privacy Day, January 28, is an international event designed to raise awareness about the importance of personal data privacy and strategies to protect it.

Join the UW Privacy Office as we launch a major initiative to modernize privacy at the UW by participating in free professional development opportunities throughout January 2023. Participants will gain clarity about why privacy matters, review personal digital wellness, reflect on their role in protecting personal data, and be empowered to take action to support the well-being and minimize the risk of harm to the people whose data we use in pursuit of our academic, research, and health-care missions.

Topics include:

  • Why Privacy Matters.
  • Strategies and Governance.
  • Privacy Practices.
  • Data Inventory.
